As I look through the tens of thousands of photos I have scattered about on external drives, I've realized that I take a lot of the same photos any tourist would take---even in my own city.

I suppose I'm still pretty new here, and there are definitely moments where I look at my everyday surroundings and simply can't believe I'm actually living here.

So screw it, if that's the mentality that drives me to take photos of the most obvious things.. I'm not sure I ever want to think any differently and risk taking any of this for granted
